Alpe di Siusi
Alpe di Siusi (German Seiser Alm, Ladin Mont Sëuc) is the biggest Alpine meadow in Europe and it’s very popular among hikers and skiers. The Alpe di Siusi mountain resorts are: Castelrotto, Siusi e Fié allo Sciliar. These mountain resorts offer Italy wellness holidays all year round, wonderful and sunny ski runs in winter; an example is the Marinzen one, near Castelrotto, where the Italian athlete Denise Karbon was born; she won the silver medal in the 2003 Saint Moritz ski world championships and the bronze medal in the 2007 ski world championships. She started her career on the Marinzen ski run! The Alpe di Siusi ski runs are very suitable for the most passionate skiers as well, as they are open in the evening three times a week. Alpe di Siusi a recommendable Italy holidays destination even in summer; the Fié allo Sciliar mountain resorts hosts many gastronomic events during this season!
